Queenstown Airport Parking Terms and Conditions of Entry
By entering Queenstown Airport Corporation Limited's (QAC) Car Park you agree to pay the parking fees as displayed at the entrance to each Car Park and to comply with these terms and conditions each time your vehicle enters the Car park. Prices are inclusive of GST. Each 24 hours period you stay in the carpark is deemed to be a full day stay. Any period of stay that exceeds 24 hours will be charged at a full day rate (not hourly rate).
1. Any time you enter the Car Park, you must comply with all:
- rules and conditions of parking displayed in the Car Park from time to time;
- applicable laws and regulations including the Queenstown Airport Bylaws Approval Order 2009 (as varied from time to time); and
- directions and requests made by QAC.
2. Vehicles can only be parked in marked car parks. Your Vehicle must be of a size that is able to fit within a standard sized car park space. If you are unsure if your vehicle will be accepted, please contact QAC's Airport Administration.
3. Parking in areas marked with yellow lines or "no parking" signs is prohibited.
4. Any vehicle parked in a mobility car park must display a current mobility pass.
5. Commercial use of the Car Park is prohibited.
6. You must not:
- Obstruct other persons or vehicles using the Car Park.
- Disturb, cause discomfort to, or threaten the safety or security of any other person, vehicle or Queenstown Airport.
- Drop any rubbish or debris or allow your vehicle to emit any substance onto the Car Park.
- Forcibly lift or otherwise interfere with any barrier arm or access gate equipment in the Car Park.
- Damage QAC's or another person's vehicle or property.
You are liable for and must pay the costs of any cleaning or the repair of any damage caused by you doing any of the above.
7. QAC's Car Park is monitored at all times by parking wardens. You acknowledge that if you enter QAC's Car Park and breach any of these terms and conditions QAC's parking wardens may issue you with an infringement notice and/or fine and/or require you and your vehicle to immediately exit the Car Park.
8. QAC, its agents or its representatives may enter, move or tow away your vehicle without notice:
- At QAC's cost, for operational, safety or security reasons.
- At your cost and risk, where you breach any of these terms and conditions or any applicable law. Your vehicle will not be released to you until you have paid all towing costs and Car Park fees accrued up until the time your vehicle was towed.
9. Use of the Car Park is entirely at your risk. QAC does not warrant the security of your vehicle and is not liable for any damage to, destruction or theft of your vehicle or any other possessions left in your Vehicle, or for any personal injury to you or any other person which occurs in the Car Park. You release QAC and its employees, agents and contractors fully from any liability for loss or damage to you, your vehicle or any of your possessions.
10. By using the Car Park you confirm you are the owner, or the authorised agent of the owner, of the vehicle and agree to indemnify QAC and its employees, agents and contractors fully from any liability for loss or damage to you, your vehicle, your possessions, or any other person or vehicle.
11. In the event of a lost or misplaced ticket, QAC may, at its discretion, use its CCTV surveillance and licence place recognition systems to determine the parking charges payable in respect of your vehicle. QAC's decision in this regard shall be final and binding.
12. CCTV surveillance and Licence Plate Recognition software may be in operation in all Car Parks for security and operational monitoring purposes.
13. For stays longer than 3 months, please register your vehicle with QAC's Airport Administration.
14. Unless registered with QAC's Airport Administration, vehicles parked for periods in excess of 3 months may be treated as abandoned. QAC reserves the right to sell or dispose of any vehicle with has been abandoned in the Car Park and to retain the proceeds of the sale to recover fees or charges owing to QAC, after giving reasonable notice to the owner of that vehicle.
15. These terms and conditions and QAC's parking fees are subject to periodic review and may change at any time. Changes to fees and/or these terms and conditions will be posted on www.queenstownairport.co.nz and at the entrance of the car park.

Queenstown Airport - Park & Ride Online Parking Booking Terms and Conditions
These are the terms and conditions upon which we accept bookings online to park at our Park and Ride Car Parks situated at Brookes Road, Frankton. They apply to your Booking so it is important that you read them and understand them before submitting your Booking.
Please note we do not reserve a specific Car Park for you once your Booking has been confirmed. Car Parks are offered on a first in first served basis. During peak times this means there may be limited availability of Car Parks and whilst we endeavour to ensure a Car Park is available to you, there may be times when we cannot accommodate you at the commencement of your Booking Period. If this happens, we will try to let you know as soon as possible. We may be able to make alternative arrangements for you, and if we do so, this will be at our cost. In any case, to compensate you for any inconvenience we will also give you a full refund of your Booking Fee, but that will be the full extent of our liability to you.
These Booking and Payment Terms incorporate the Standard Conditions of Parking displayed at the entrance to the Car Park area. When you enter the Car Park area, it will be taken that you have read and accepted those Standard Conditions of Parking, so please read them carefully.
We can change or vary any part of these Booking and Payment Terms at any time, by posting an updated version to our Website. This will not affect any Bookings made before the update is posted to our Website, but it is your responsibility to ensure that you are familiar with the latest version of these Booking and Payment Terms at the time you make a Booking. Your decision to use our online parking booking engine indicates your agreement to these Booking and Payment Terms, including as amended or varied by us from time to time.
When reading these Booking and Payment Terms the following words or phrases have the following meanings:
"Booking" means any online booking made through our Website for the parking of a Vehicle at our Car Park.
"Booking and Payment Terms" means these booking and payment terms.
"Booking Details" means the details of your Booking as communicated by us and accepted by you in the process of completing your Booking on our Website.
"Booking Fee" means the fees payable in relation to your Booking, as specified in your Booking Details.
"Booking Period" means the period covered by your Booking, as specified in your Booking Details.
"Car Parks" means the car parking spaces controlled by Queenstown Airport Corporation Limited at Brookes Road, Frankton from which the Park and Ride Service operates, and "Car Park" shall mean any one of them.
"Park and Ride Rate" means the charges payable for parking in the Car Parks as contained on the Website and displayed at the Car Park from time to time.
"Park and Ride Service" means the free shuttle transfer service between our Car Parks and the Terminal provided by us to you.
"Terminal" means the domestic and international terminal building(s) at Queenstown Airport, Frankton, Queenstown.
"Vehicle" means any vehicle parked (or to be parked) in our Car Park and which complies with clause 8.2.
"We, us, our" means Queenstown Airport Corporation Limited.
"Website" means our website with its home page or our parking home page which is used by you to access our online parking booking engine.
"You, your" means you, the person making a Booking, and (if applicable) any other person who uses our Car Park for the parking of a Vehicle in accordance with that Booking.
The headings are for information only and do not affect the interpretation of these Booking and Payment Terms.
Regardless of where you may be when you make a Booking, these Booking and Payment Terms and any Booking resulting from them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts in respect of any dispute or proceeding arising out of these Booking and Payment Terms and you waive any right to claim that such courts represent an inconvenient forum.
2 Making a Booking
2.1 These Booking and Payment Terms set out the terms of our service allowing you to book Car Parks via our Website. If there is anything you do not understand or do not agree with please discuss this with us before you make your Booking.
2.2 Our online booking system is a self-service reservation system. It allows you to book a Car Park at the Park and Ride Rate for your selected dates and times. It is your responsibility to check, confirm and manage your proposed times and dates. We may change the Park and Ride Rate at any time and for any reason without notice to you.
2.3 Bookings can only be obtained via the booking engine on our Website and are subject to availability. We do not guarantee that this service will be available at all times or provide access to all our Car Parks.
2.4 Your Booking is only finalised when you have submitted a completed booking form to us via our Website and we have sent an e-mail to you confirming your Booking. It is your responsibility to provide us with the correct email address and to ensure that the relevant email account is functioning. Please contact us via the contact details below if you have not received a booking confirmation email within a reasonable period after submitting your Booking.
2.5 Your Booking is only valid for the Booking Period specified in your Booking Details. Any changes to your Booking must be made in accordance with these Booking and Payment Terms. Your Booking only allows you one entry and one exit into and out of our Car Park. Multiple entries or exits are not permitted.
2.6 You agree that you will not attempt to resell any Booking, either on its own or bundled with other products or services. We also reserve the right to limit the number of Bookings per person, which we may specify from time to time on our Website.
3 Booking Mobility Parking Spaces
3.1 Unfortunately we cannot accept Bookings specifically for mobility parking spaces in the Car Park. The Park and Ride Service is also not equipped for wheelchairs. However, we do have a number of mobility parking spaces conveniently located in Terminal carpark A which we can offer to you at the Park and Ride Rate – simply find a mobility park then make your way to the Airport Information Desk team inside the Terminal so we can adapt your ticket. Have further mobility questions? Please drop our team an email at firstname.lastname@example.org at least 48 hours in advance of your trip so that our team can assist.
4 Cancelling or Changing a Booking
4.1 You may cancel your Booking and obtain a refund of the Booking Fee, for any reason, at any time up to the day on which your Booking Period commences. You will be charged in full for your Booking if you have not cancelled prior to this time.
4.2 You can cancel your Booking through our Website by clicking on “Manage My Booking” and selecting the relevant options. You can also cancel your Booking by contacting us using the contact details listed below. Your Booking Fee will be refunded to the credit card provided to us at the time you submitted your Booking. Bookings that have been cancelled cannot be reinstated. If you would like to rebook you must make a new Booking.
4.3 You may change your Booking at any time prior to the day on which your Booking Period commences. You can do this through our Website by clicking on "Manage My Booking". You cannot change your Booking through our Website after this time. You will be charged or refunded (as applicable) for any change to your Booking calculated by reference to our Park and Ride Rate, rounded to the nearest full day. You authorise us to deduct any additional amounts you become liable to pay us as a result of changing your Booking from the credit card provided to us when you submitted your Booking. Any refunds will be credited to the credit card provided to us when you submitted your Booking.
4.4 If you need to extend your Booking Period for any reason after the day on which the Booking Period has commenced (including arriving early at the Car Park), you must contact us directly at the contact details below before the end of your Booking Period and provide us with your confirmation number, the new time at which you would like your Booking Period to commence and/or end and valid credit card details. We may (at our discretion, acting reasonably) amend your Booking accordingly. You will be charged for any such extension to your Booking calculated by reference to our Park and Ride Rate, rounded to the nearest full day. You authorise us to deduct any additional amounts you become liable to pay us as a result of changing your Booking from the credit card provided to us when you contact us. To avoid doubt, you cannot reduce your Booking Period on or after the day on which your Booking Period commences. No refund will be provided to you if your stay is shorter than the Booking Period.
5 Prices and How to Pay
5.1 The Booking Fee that you are quoted is in New Zealand Dollars, includes GST and is fixed when you make your Booking. You are responsible for ensuring your Booking Details are correct prior to submitting your Booking.
5.2 You can pay for your Booking by using any of the credit cards shown on our Website.
5.3 When you give us your credit card details and complete your Booking you are authorising us to charge your credit card with the amount of the Booking Fee.
6 What to do on Arrival at the Car Park
6.1 We do not issue tickets for Bookings. Please ensure you follow the instructions on your Booking confirmation email carefully. Our online booking service operates on a pay-to-park, free-to-ride model. At the beginning of your Booking Period:
(a) Enter the Car Park area and choose any available space.
(b) Once you have parked your Vehicle, proceed to the shuttle departure area.
(c) Present your Booking confirmation email to the Park and Ride Service shuttle driver (either onscreen or print out) for the outbound and return shuttle trip to and from the Terminal.
(d) The Park and Ride Service will take you to the Terminal.
Please note the drop-off and pick-up stop at the Terminal is located near the Maori statues and directly outside the domestic arrivals area.
7.1 From time to time, we may offer short-term, promotional online special offers in respect of our Car Parks. Such promotions will be governed by the terms and conditions of that promotion, which will apply in addition to these Booking and Payment Terms. Unless stated otherwise at that time, any such promotions:
(a) Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions.
(b) Apply only to Bookings made in accordance with these Booking and Payment Terms.
(c) Are strictly limited to the Car Parks allocated for the promotion.
(d) Expire once those allocated Car Parks have all been booked.
8 Your conduct at our Car Parks and your Vehicle
8.1 At all times while you are on our premises, you must obey our Standard Terms and Conditions of Parking and drive carefully and responsibly. You must obey all speed limits indicated and otherwise comply with all relevant road rules.
8.2 Your Vehicle must be of a size that is able to fit within a standard sized car park space. We reserve the right to refuse you entry to the Car Park if your Vehicle does not comply with this requirement. Vehicles that are unlikely to comply with this requirement are large campervans, vans or trucks. If you are unsure whether your Vehicle will be accepted, please contact us.
8.3 You may only park within designated parking spaces in the Car Park. If you park in any other areas, we reserve the right to take appropriate steps, including moving your Vehicle to an appropriate location.
8.4 We, our agents or our representatives may enter, move or tow away your Vehicle:
(a) At our cost, for operational, safety or security reasons.
(b) At your cost and risk, where you breach these Booking and Payment Terms or any applicable law.
8.5 Our Car Park is monitored at all times by parking wardens. You acknowledge that if you park in our Car Park without a valid or a current Booking, our parking wardens may issue you with an infringement notice and/or fine for such unauthorised parking.
9 Security of your Vehicle
9.1 The Car Park has lighting at night and fencing for safety and security of you and your Vehicle. While we will take all due care, to the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all liability to you under or in respect of these Booking and Payment Terms (including damage to or destruction of your Vehicle), whether arising under contract, statute, tort (including negligence), or otherwise. In particular, we are not responsible for your Vehicle or any valuables left unattended in your Vehicle.
10 Our Liability
10.2 If for any reason we are liable to you under or in connection with these Booking and Payment Terms, then to the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you will be limited to a refund of some or all of the Booking Fee.
11 Your Responsibility for Check in Time
11.1 It is your responsibility to ensure that you leave enough time to get from your Vehicle to your flight check-in within the time limits required by the airline. We give no guarantee as to the availability or frequency of the Park and Ride Service between our Car Parks and the Terminal.
11.2 To the extent permitted by law, we will have no liability to you if you miss your flight, even if the delay is due to our action or inaction, a problem with a Car Park or Car Park availability (notwithstanding that you have booked a Car Park), traffic congestion within or near to the Queenstown Airport, or due to the advertised frequency of the Park and Ride Service from the Car Park to the Terminal not being maintained for any reason.
12 Storage of personal information
12.1 In order to process your Booking, we will need to collect and store certain information about you including, without limitation, your name, address and credit card information. Such information will be collected and retained only for the purposes of enabling you to utilize our online booking service and to identify you when you present yourself to the Park and Ride Service shuttle driver when you enter the Car Park or are collected from the pick-up and drop-off stop at the Terminal. By accepting these Booking and Payment Terms you authorise the use of such personal information for this purpose.
13 Comments and Complaints
13.1 Any comments relating to the booking procedure should be made in writing to us at our address below or by email to email@example.com . Please provide us with as much information as possible. This will make it easier for us to deal with your complaint.
13.2 We will try and answer all complaints within 5 working days. If we cannot, we will tell you when we expect to be able to do so. If you want to make a complaint, please do so as quickly as possible as the longer you leave it the more difficult it may be for us to check what happened.
