Under Civil Aviation Authority rules, Queenstown Airport operates between 07:00 and 22:00 daily. Air New Zealand, Jetstar, Qantas, and Virgin Australia are currently the only airlines certified by the regulators to operate after dark.
Aircraft operations at Queenstown Airport are subject to the Aeronautical Conditions of Use, which set out the terms under which aircraft operators may use the airport and detail the relevant aeronautical charges. These are available to download below.
Irregular operations of aircraft with a maximum certified takeoff weight (MCTOW) of 5,700 kg or greater can only be undertaken with the assistance of a ground handler. Please contact Queenstown Corporate Jet Services.

Itinerant Aircraft & General Aviation
All itinerant pilots entering the Queenstown area must ensure they are fully conversant with the unique topographical and procedural features of operating in the region.
