Queenstown Airport has appointed experienced strategy and transformation leader Terri-Ann Scorer to its executive team.
The newly created Chief of Strategy and Transformation role reflects the scale and pace of change under way at Queenstown Airport, and the importance of setting and delivering the airport's long-term strategy as it continues to invest in infrastructure, customer experience, sustainability, and organisational capability.
Chief Executive Shane O'Hare said Ms Scorer brings an exceptional combination of executive leadership, governance experience and transformation expertise gained across New Zealand and internationally.
“Terri-Ann is one of New Zealand's most accomplished strategy and transformation leaders. She has led complex change programmes, worked alongside boards and executive teams, and built a reputation for aligning people behind a clear vision and delivering results.
“Her experience spans strategy, transformation, governance, organisational performance and stakeholder engagement. She has held senior leadership roles with BNZ, Westpac New Zealand, Boston Consulting Group and Oxfam New Zealand.”
Mr O'Hare said Ms Scorer's credentials would be particularly valuable as Queenstown Airport continued to deliver on its long-term plans.
“Terri-Ann has extensive board and governance experience, including serving as Chair and President of Tennis New Zealand, where she led a significant multi-year transformation programme. She understands the importance of balancing strategic ambition with strong governance, stakeholder engagement and disciplined execution.”
Ms Scorer said she was excited by the opportunity to join Queenstown Airport and contribute to the region's future.
“My connection with Queenstown and the wider region stretches back more than two decades. As a keen tramper and outdoor adventurer, I've visited regularly for many years and have always been drawn to the spectacular landscapes, the strong sense of community, and the energy of the region.
“The opportunity for me and my husband to now call Queenstown home makes this appointment particularly special."
Ms Scorer will join Queenstown Airport in late November and is looking forward to playing a part in shaping its future.
“Queenstown Airport sits at the heart of one of New Zealand's most dynamic regions. It plays a critical role in connecting people, supporting economic prosperity and enabling experiences that are important to communities, visitors, and businesses alike.
“There are unique opportunities ahead as the airport plans for the future and continues its transformation journey. I feel privileged to be joining the team at such an important time and look forward to helping ensure the organisation remains focused on delivering long-term value for the region, while staying true to its purpose and values.”
