  4. 'Elevate' leadership series aims to inspire Queenstown businesses

'Elevate' leadership events to inspire local businesses

09 Feb 2024

Queenstown Business Chamber of Commerce and Queenstown Airport are launching a new event series to inspire and inform local business leaders.

The Queenstown Business Chamber of Commerce and Queenstown Airport will again partner in 2024 for a series of events featuring prominent leaders. The themes for this year are Resilience, Experience and Community.

Titled ‘Elevate’, the series will feature several morning and afternoon speaker events, as well as a business lunch. It will be open to all businesses wishing to learn and will feature a mix of inspiring local and national speakers.

Sharon Fifield, Chief Executive of Queenstown Business Chamber of Commerce, says: “More than ever, businesses are needing to consider their environmental and corporate social responsibilities as part of their business planning. This not only benefits the wider community but also plays an important role in attracting and retaining employees. It’s great to have the continued support of Queenstown Airport in developing this informative event series to assist businesses with their planning in this space.”

Sara Irvine, Queenstown Airport General Manager Sustainability & Corporate Affairs, says: “As a vital part of our region’s infrastructure, Queenstown Airport is committed to supporting the community. This partnership with Queenstown Business Chamber aligns with our aspiration to support the Queenstown business community and play a role in building collective pride in our district.”

The first event coincides with International Women’s Day on Friday, 8 March, and will be held at Heritage Queenstown. It will feature Clare Irons, Impact100 Wakatipu Chair and advisor to Materiom, speaking about the benefits for business in connecting to community needs.
