New General Manager of Property appointed
24 Aug 2015
Senior property executive Rachel Tregidga has today joined Queenstown Airport Corporation (QAC) as General Manager of Property.
Rachel will be primarily responsible for leading the development of QAC’s non-aeronautical landholdings. She will work closely with Commercial Manager Matthew Day on the airport’s future retail and commercial offers, ensuring land uses for QAC’s land and neighbouring areas support the airport’s continued growth. She will also contribute to local and regional forums planning for growth in the district.
With more than 20 years of property management, development, asset management and commercial experience, Rachel brings a wealth of strategic business and property knowledge to her new role.
Previously with Opus International Property Group in Auckland, she was responsible for a team advising clients and corporates about property acquisitions and disposals, portfolio strategy and asset management. Prior to that, she served in a variety of property positions at Auckland Council Property Limited, BNZ, Westfield Ltd, and Oxford City Council in the United Kingdom.
She holds Bachelors of Commerce and Arts from Auckland University.
QAC Chairman John Gilks is delighted to welcome Rachel to the team and believes her skills will help position the airport for sustainable long-term growth.
“Queenstown Airport is currently on a strong growth trajectory and Rachel will be invaluable in helping the management team look at how we extract the best value from our non-aeronautical land holdings and plan for the future.”
