Manaia Lounge

Open 90 minutes before Qantas/Jetstar international services or once International Security Screening opens.

The Manaia Lounge – Maori for Protector of Land, Sea and Sky – caters for up to 120 guests and is located air-side (past security screening) upstairs in the International Departure Terminal with views out to the iconic Remarkables mountain range.  It is open daily 90 minutes before an international flight.

Lounge Eligibility:

Jetstar/Qantas

The lounge can be accessed by Qantas Chairman’s Lounge Members, Platinum One, Platinum and Gold Frequent Flyers, Qantas Club Members, Oneworld Emerald and Sapphire Frequent flyers and Business Class passengers travelling on international Qantas or Jetstar flights, as well as passengers with a Priority Pass, Dragon Pass or Lounge Key Card. Qantas Chairman’s Lounge Members are entitled to two guests travelling on the same flight and Platinum One, Platinum and Gold Frequent Flyers, Qantas Club Members and Oneworld Emerald and Sapphire Frequent flyers and Business Class passengers are entitled to one guest (18+) travelling on the same flight. There is a ‘pay in’ option for extra guests and children (see below). 

Virgin Australia

The lounge can be accessed by Velocity The Club Members, Virgin Australia Lounge Members, Virgin Australia Lifetime Lounge Members, Velocity Platinum and Gold Frequent Flyers, and Business Class passengers travelling on an international Virgin Australia flight, as well as passengers with a Priority Pass, Dragon Pass or Lounge Key Card. Each member is entitled to one guest (13+) and two children (3-12), excluding Business class passengers who are not entitled to a guest, including children. There is a ‘pay in’ option for extra guests and children (see below).

Other eligibility

Priority Pass, Dragon Pass and Lounge Key passengers can be travelling on any airline. 

International Oneworld First and Business Class Passengers can access the lounge if travelling Qantas and can show proof that their onward flight that day is on a Oneworld operated and marketed flight. First Class passengers are entitled to one guest, Business Class passengers are not entitled to a guest.

American Airlines Admirals Club Members and passengers with a Citi Executive AAdvantage Card with Admirals Club Membership must be travelling on a QF/AA codeshare flight and are entitled to one guest that is travelling on the same flight.

Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members can access the lounge if travelling on a Qantas flight only. Emirates members are entitled to one guest, although the guest must be travelling on the same flight.

A ‘pay in’ option is also offered to all passengers travelling on other international airlines.  Access charges are $45/adult $20/child. 

Qantas Complimentary Invitation Vouchers or International Business Lounge Invitations are not permitted as the Manaia Lounge is an associated lounge.

Facilities include a business centre with free Wi-Fi, desktop computers, wireless printer, scanner and fax, as well as TV and reading areas, dining areas and dedicated bathrooms. There is also a complimentary gourmet food and beverage service featuring premium local wines such as Rockburn and Chard Farm, as well as freshly prepared hot and cold dishes.
